Sikorsky's S-92® helicopter provides the ultimate in comfort, safety and mission-flexibility to meet the demands of civil, military and government operators. The S-92® aircraft is used in offshore oil transport, executive transport, airline, utility and search and rescue missions. It is certified to the latest and most stringent transport category rotorcraft safety requirements by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency.
Rockwell Collins equips the S-92® multi-mission helicopter with our complete Avionics Management System (AMS), digital radios and navigation equipment. Our AMS consists of four fully redundant Multi-Function Displays (MFDs) and features intuitive flight symbology and systems data that can be easily viewed in direct sunlight or night time conditions. An optional fifth MFD enhances cockpit operations by enabling greater flexibility for the aircrew's selection of flight and mission information. The S-92® AMS is configurable to support the multi-mission capabilities of the aircraft and enables displays of flight safety surveillance sensors including traffic alert and collision avoidance system, enhanced ground proximity warning system, weather/search radar, as well as mission-specific systems, such as digital maps and electro-optic/infrared systems. Our S-92® AMS is certified to FAA Technical Standard Order C113 for primary flight displays and fully complies with industry standard DO-178B Level A for flight critical systems.
